the bachelor of arts in music provides a humanistic approach to the study of music as a significant part of human tradition and culture. all music majors are assigned a faculty advisor with whom they confer each semester to develop an appropriate program of study.

the bachelor of arts degree is a flexible, liberal-arts degree, with an emphasis in music. in consultation with a faculty advisor, students in the bachelor of arts may plan a course of study in an area of interest.
