Progression Summary

program description

physics is a disciplined way to reach objective conclusions about how nature works. it is about finding out what is real. and then, armed with this new knowledge, predicting the future. physics provides an opportunity for people to set aside emotions, beliefs, preconceived notions, and prejudices. in return, people can find answers to the questions and learn something meaningful about how things work in the universe.

people need this organized approach because humans are easily fooled. people would like to think that that is not true, but it is. arriving at a conclusion, however, is not at all a strictly ridged mechanical process. a great amount of careful thought, inspiration, and leaps of intuition are needed.

the university of new brunswick in saint john offers first-year courses on the theoretical foundation of physics as well as the experimental proof of critical parts. non-science majors can choose courses in astronomy or space studies, where students will learn how the human species explores and exploits the cosmos.
