the bachelor of arts in korean studies with japanese lets candidates be immersed in east asian culture, language and society on this four-year course, ready for a huge range of careers. they will learn korean and japanese language from scratch with the university of sheffield's expert language teams, complemented by modules exploring korean politics, history, music and society.

students will have the opportunity to explore japanese and east asian society in more detail through optional modules in the later years of the degree, tailoring their degree to what interests them.

graduates will spend a year at one of the university's partner universities in south korea, putting what they have learned into practice and gaining life-changing experience abroad. in the final year they will refine language skills while deepening their understanding through research-led modules. graduates will also have the option to complete a dissertation project of their choice, supervised by world-leading researchers.
