the bachelor of arts in philosophy and modern languages & cultures explores the connections between language and philosophical thought, and gain an insight into how philosophical history has shaped many of the cultures of modern europe.
students will divide their studies between the school of languages and cultures and the department of philosophy, they will become proficient in one or two languages whilst exploring a diverse range of philosophical topics, shaping their understanding of societies across europe and the wider world.
the flexibility of this degree means graduates can design their course according to their passions and interests. they will study great philosophical thinkers and explore areas such as the philosophy of education, feminism and metaphysics - combined with the study of europe, whether it be politics, history, film or literature.
