the university of sheffield's integrated masters in physics and astrophysics with a year in industry has more astrophysics content than other physics departments. along with essential physics modules, 50% of candidate's time here will be dedicated to studying everything from the formation of the solar system, to stars and galaxies and the evolution of the universe.

students will develop the skills for a career in research, whether they want to help map the universe as an astrophysicist or apply their scientific knowledge to solve problems in industry. because the university shape them into fully rounded scientists, from their first year they will learn through practical work – including the use of the university's two telescopes on the roof of the faculty building.
