Progression Summary
the integrated masters in physics with philosophy is run in partnership with the department of philosophy, at the university of sheffield. students will begin to understand motion and religion, electricity and ethics, magnetism, quantum mechanics, art and death.
in graduates' first two years, they will do the essential physics that all of students cover, and choose from a wide range of optional philosophy modules. in practical classes, they will run experiments using the equipment in the university's modern laboratories to help them understand how important theories apply to the real world.
in students' third year, they can branch out into lots of different areas and complete their own research project in physics or philosophy – from astrophysics and dark matter, to free will and metaphysics – boosting their analytical, writing and presentation skills.
