computer science with artificial intelligence is the study of machine intelligence, including bio-inspired algorithms, their relationship to living intelligence and the nature of consciousness itself. graduates will position themselves at the leading edge of humanity’s exploration of what it means to be alive, and the creation of artificial intelligence.
beginning with the same foundation as the integrated master's in computer science, the degree gives students a grounding in the fundamentals, before encouraging them to specialize in speech recognition, language processing or robotics.
graduates will develop artificial intelligence applications in a team project for an external client in their second year, in the third year specialist modules which cover subjects such as speech and text processing, machine learning and bio-inspired robotics give them scope for creative and intellectual exploration.
