the master of science in science communication is taught by subject experts and in collaboration with the department of journalism, this course will help students to develop the skills to communicate science effectively to a wide range of audiences. it's designed around developing them as a science communicator, as opposed to being a marketing course.
through hands-on training, graduates will learn how to inform, educate and entertain people without the same specialist knowledge, covering the latest topics in science that interest them. training sessions can cover writing skills, how to record and edit content for film and television, social media, and the design of science communication activities. regular small group workshops give students the time to debate and discuss topics, and practice key communication skills.
