the master of science in engineering in advanced control and systems engineering (with industry) is designed for anyone looking to specialize in control and systems engineering and also to gain industry experience with a 12-month placement.

students will learn systems modelling, optimization and signal processing, system identification, digital control systems and industrial automation. they will learn practical skills using matrix laboratory (matlab) and program logic controllers (plcs). graduates will be able to take optional modules to further develop their skills in areas that interest them, including cybersecurity and an opportunity to work with companies on real problems experienced by industry.
