Progression Summary
the integrated accelerator program is a two-semester program designed specifically for high-achieving, bilingual international students who want direct enrolment into their degree program but also want the academic, cultural, professional, and linguistic support they need to thrive at auburn university. the program features a robust advising and mentorship component, as well as priority access to the most exclusive, in-demand courses. upon completion of the program, students progress into year two of their undergraduate education with a full year’s worth of academic credits.
in auburn’s early childhood education program, students will learn the best approaches for teaching young children from pre-kindergarten through grade 3. through coursework and authentic practical experiences, students learn child development, curriculum development, developmentally appropriate practice, diversity, and advocacy.
this bachelor’s degree will prepare students to teach in preschool-3rd grade settings. they focus on combining child development with appropriate teaching practices. students will develop problem solving skills for teaching young children, learn to reflect on the choices they make, and continually improve their teaching.
