Progression Summary
the integrated accelerator program is a two-semester program designed specifically for high-achieving, bilingual international students who want direct enrolment into their degree program but also want the academic, cultural, professional, and linguistic support they need to thrive at auburn university. the program features a robust advising and mentorship component, as well as priority access to the most exclusive, in-demand courses. upon completion of the program, students progress into year two of their undergraduate education with a full year’s worth of academic credits.
as a student in agronomy and soils, students will apply the basic sciences — such as biology, chemistry, physics, geology and microbiology — to better understand the natural foundation upon which our entire industry is built. graduates of this program protect the natural environment while producing the food, fiber and resources that improve life for billions every single day.
in the production option, students will study food, feed, fiber, oil, forage and bioenergy crop production. courses will prepare students for a career with public agencies such as state cooperative extension systems or the usda natural resources conservation service. graduates are also hired by agri-life companies and farm-advisory agencies, such as soil testing laboratories and other private consultants.
