program description

this middlesex university course combines broad theoretical skills of modern psychology practice with a focus on the neuroscientific explanations and research of human behaviour. students will study in the psychology department which has some of the most high-tech equipment available. in middlesex' sector-leading laboratory, students will have access to all the facilities they would imagine from a top class lab – psychophysiological monitoring, electroencephalography (eeg), and more.

throughout the degree students will study the foundations of psychology and neuroscience, broadening their understanding and knowledge of the disciplines. students will learn by researching, analyzing and processing complex data and real-life case studies.

during the course students will also take part in a work placement so they can test the skills they've built up throughout their modules. this year long placement sets students up to succeed when they go on to their postgraduate career. a wide range of influential and established organizations are involved with the placement course, for example great ormond hospital school, st georges hospital, priory hospital, institute of psychiatry, institute of education, university college london, holloway prison, and the metropolitan police.
