master’s by research are postgraduate research degrees at masters level, offered throughout the university in all represented disciplines. there is no taught component. instead, you are expected to carry out a research project, supported by specialist supervision.

however, you are expected to attend training and development workshops, meeting university requirements and delivering subject-specific training. students are supported in their independent research study by a supervisory team composed of two faculty members with expertise in your chosen subject area.
