the stress, ageing and chronic disease mres program offers individuals the opportunity to enhance their research skills under the guidance of internationally recognized researchers working on diverse projects. the research conducted focuses on exploring the impact of stress, inflammation, and the natural aging process on the development and progression of diseases such as cancer, diabetes, neurodegenerative disorders, and musculoskeletal disorders.
participants will be based at the centre for stress and age-related disease, where they will engage in research across three key areas: chemical biology, cell biology, and translational science. collaborating with postdoctoral and other postgraduate researchers who share similar interests, individuals will learn how to design and execute a significant research project, showcasing their creativity, initiative, and understanding of the practical applications of scientific research in various industries.
through hands-on experience in our specialized multidisciplinary research facilities, participants will acquire essential laboratory skills that will prepare them for careers in industry or further academic pursuits. additionally, they will expand their knowledge of research literature and engage with the broader research community through specialized journal clubs featuring seminars by expert speakers and student-led presentations.
