in addition to their degree, students will have the opportunity to earn the national council for the training of journalists (nctj) diploma in journalism, a respected qualification that serves as an entry point into the professional journalism field.

the course is led by experienced media industry professionals and esteemed academics who guide students in developing essential journalism skills, critical thinking, academic research, and writing techniques. students will have access to industry-standard facilities, such as a newsroom with live news and sports feeds, as well as equipment for sound, filming, and editing.

students will also have the chance to attend lectures and masterclasses led by industry experts, participate in field trips, complete a placement, and showcase their work on the student-run website starting from the first day of the program.
