auburn university theatre is housed in telfair b. peet university theatre, which includes two fully equipped performance spaces; three dynamic performance studios serving classes in acting, dance, voice, directing, and movement; and fully equipped costume and scenic studios. the newly renovated main stage features a flexible proscenium house seating along with state-of-the-art lighting and sound equipment. a new black box studio theatre is equipped with the first wire tension lighting grid at a university theatre in alabama and a larger dance studio.
theatre students enjoy opportunities to work with national and international guest artists and travel nationally and internationally to attend workshops and exhibit their work. auburn theatre graduates think critically, creatively, and collaboratively and carry their knowledge from rehearsal spaces and classroom to stages, campuses, and communities worldwide.
