digital forensics bsc (hons) will help students to understand precisely how digital evidence can be investigated in a forensically sound manner.

digital forensics is concerned with identifying and responding to security breaches and reporting them to relevant authorities. 

in dmu laboratories students have access to equipment and software that is widely used by forensic investigators in law enforcement and e-discovery. students will learn how to acquire, analyse and report digital evidence and gain the technical skills to discover electronic traces of cyber-crime.
