Progression Summary

program description

the objectives of the department of psychology are to provide our undergraduates with learning experiences in and out of the classroom that will serve to improve critical thinking skills, facilitate acquisition of the knowledge inherent in the study of behavior and its research methodology, and prepare our students for either employment or graduate school. in an effort to accomplish these goals, the department encourages a broad-based liberal arts education and a solid psychology curriculum. two degrees, the bachelor of arts and the bachelor of science in psychology, are offered. the major difference between the two programs lies in the science, mathematics and humanities requirements. individual students' programs vary extensively due to many students planning double majors and minors in different fields.
