program description

completing the bachelor of arts in education program along with meeting state requirements leads to a washington state residency teacher certificate with elementary (k-8) endorsement as well as the degree.

as part of the program, students can choose between three additional endorsements:

  • english language learning
  • middle-level mathematics
  • special education

the program is designed to prepare skilled teachers who can develop curricula and modify them based on student needs, assess students’ learning and their social and civic development, and work collaboratively with colleagues and the community.

supplemental pre-professional tracks are available for students interested in pursuing further professional education. if there is interest in one of these tracks in addition to the degree, please let the recruiter know. the options are:
