emphasis is on creative problem solving, design process, visual organization and communication media, and interaction design.  graphic design graduates effectively integrate abstract thinking skills such as communication design theory, history, methodology; and technology.  components of visual communication including typography, symbology, time-based media, information design, branding, image creation, and other communication systems are integrated with an understanding of professional practice.
