humanities majors develop courses of study that often take an interdisciplinary approach to the study of human culture involving its art, literature, history, psychology, and social dimensions. it often begins with studies focusing on the classical world and moves through human history into the modern age.

an emphasis is placed on the utilization of critical thinking skills and the development of articulate expression of ideas both verbally and in written form. the humanities degree is ideal for students if they want the flexibility to design their own program of study that will help them meet your academic and career goals.
