Progression Summary

pace’s bba in accounting prepares students to rise quickly in a highly profitable career that can get them all the way to the c-suite. students get the educational foundation they need to sit for the cpa exam and earn other specialized credentials, like certified internal auditor. pace provides cpa review courses (becker cpa review) in all programs, and all their programs are ready for the new "core + disciplines" cpa exams. the internal auditing concentration, which develops the skills students will need to pursue a career as an internal auditor.

at lubin, they get students through the door and behind the scenes for unique opportunities, thanks to pace's well-developed network of alumni and corporate partners. graduates of the bba in accounting program work for big four accounting firms, fortune 100 companies, the federal reserve, and the new york stock exchange, among many other enterprises.

students who do not wish to choose one of the specialized concentrations will take an additional 12 credits of open electives and one additional course in business law, either law 360 advanced business law (4 credits) or law 312 business law ii (3 credits). this option will give students an opportunity to customize their program of study by selecting additional course work in areas such as taxation, law, finance, information systems and management or other fields of interest to them. it will also be a good option for transfer students who have completed courses at other colleges and universities prior to enrolling at pace and adult students who have earned college credit for work experience or other prior learning through the pace experiential learning assessment (ela).
