the co-op option develops students' professional and leadership abilities through relevant work experience outside of the classroom. they can even choose to complete a project-based assignment or an individual study for course credit.
the university of guelph's accounting co-op provides 16 months of experience and is designed to facilitate the transition of students from academic studies to a professional career by enhancing the integration of theory and practice in real-world scenarios, sharpening their technical, analytical, evaluative and communication skills.
