**our architecture degree, accredited by the royal institute of british architects (riba) and the architects registration board (arb), is your first step to a professional career in architecture** teaching is based at our stockwell street building in heneghan peng-designed galleries. studio-based tutorial groups provide all the skills and knowledge you'll need via a range of approaches to architectural design. you'll learn to use design software and gain visual and drawing skills. you will also study architectural practice, the history of architecture, sustainability, contemporary theory and technology. successful graduates will gain exemption from the riba part 1 examination. **what you should know about this course** - the ba hons architecture programme is a first step in a professional career in architecture - explore new technologies, emerging social conditions, contemporary cultural contexts, and theoretical / aesthetic concerns - explore visual and tactile world, learning visual and drawing skills and the use of computer software - visits to art galleries, museums, architecture offices and important buildings. we also host lectures by eminent speakers. - our students have been recognised by prestigious national awards, such as the aj student prize, riba student awards and the worshipful company of chartered architects awards.
