this programme aims to develop the knowledge and skills of a bachelor’s-level graduate mechanical engineering to masters level through advanced teaching, design work and research. it provides an opportunity for candidates from a different engineering background to develop key mechanical engineering knowledge and skills required for their professional development. a key objective of the programme is to be an accredited route to becoming a chartered engineer. - developed to meet the need for an advanced mechanical engineering programme from our industry partners - students study courses in specialist engineering technologies and failure accident analysis, as well as undertaking an individual project or dissertation which can be in collaboration with industry - 3 optional modules are chosen from a range which includes thermodynamics, fluids, advanced mechanics of materials, dynamics, flame appraisal & development and engineering manufacture - accredited by the institution of mechanical engineers - high quality graduates have excellent career prospects - 95% of hwu graduates in employment within 6 months of graduation
