Progression Summary

over recent decades our world has become more interdependent and, with these deeper connections, comes an enhanced need for enlightened citizenship; our degree in dutch and management studies offers expert teaching and learning in both language acquisition and intercultural contexts that will equip students to thrive in today’s global society. over the four years, you will deepen your knowledge of the dutch language while also developing valuable skills in cultural literacy and critical thinking. your degree will be studied on a 50/50 ratio between dutch and management studies. in your first, second and final year you will take language modules dutch and the literature, culture, history and linguistics related to it, as well as modules in management studies (please also view the ucl school of management's joint study programmes pages for further details about studying management at ucl). you will spend your third year abroad in a country where dutch is spoken, studying at a university, or doing a work placement. you will achieve the same linguistic competence regardless of whether you start a language from beginner level or have previous knowledge of it.

You must have one of the following qualifications:
ielts ukvi: overall score of 7.5 and a minimum of 7.0 in each component

a level: grades aab subjects modern foreign language preferred. gcses english language at grade b or 6 and mathematics at grade c or 4. or ib diploma: points 36 subjects a total of 17 points in three higher level subjects, with no higher level score below 5, modern foreign language preferred. or other qualifications: successful completion of one year of a bachelor degree at a saudi arabian university recognised by ucl, with an average of 85%, cgpa of 4.5/5 or b+. for degrees from the arab open university a cgpa of 3.3/4.0 is required.
