biomedical science opens up opportunities in the sciences for students who do not meet the required qualifications to directly enter the bsc(hons), are looking to change careers, or are returning to study. the foundation year provides the necessary support, knowledge, and skills. upon successful completion of the foundation year, students can advance directly to the biomedical science bsc(hons).
the teaching is influenced by research to ensure its relevance and currency. students will have the chance to conduct a project in an active research laboratory. researchers are actively involved in developing innovative biomedical products and exploring new approaches to regenerative medicine, as well as the treatment of cancer, asthma, diabetes, and other chronic diseases.
students will apply their learning through project work, hospital visits, and case studies. visits from clinical and biomedical scientists, as well as placement opportunities, help prepare students for the workforce and provide insight into the reality of being a biomedical scientist.
