program description

swinburne foundation year (design) (8 months) is a pre-university program for international students. it is designed to help students meet the entry requirements for first-year university or progress to a unilink diploma.

students will develop fundamental communication, information technology (it) and mathematics skills. they will also get an introduction to specialised areas such drawing, illustration and graphic design.

it provides an overview of the historical and contextual basis for design as well as providing an introduction to the practical skills and the aesthetic engagement required of a designer.
