the program of academic english preparation (paep) is the university of new brunswick fredericton’s bridging program designed to prepare students for the successful completion of their undergraduate degree program. academically admissible students to programs on unb's fredericton campus who do not meet the full english language requirements for undergraduate entrance are candidates for paep.

full-time language studies incorporate class hours, homework, tutorials and advising involving 35+ hours a week. paep students are full-time unb students and benefit from:
  • academic credit from select faculties
  • access to all unb support and services
  • weekly academic advising
  • access to use of technology and sports facilities
  • eligibility for unb’s entrance scholarships and residence accommodations
