On this creative course you’ll learn from professional animators, experimenting with styles ranging from drawn animation through to stop-motion and CGI on your way to becoming a highly trained and multi-disciplined animation professional. Students will bring their concepts to life using industry-standard animation facilities - learning the full production process from first draft storyboarding to advanced filmmaking techniques. This three year programme also gives students the time and support necessary to create a varied professional portfolio that’s perfectly suited to securing paid positions after graduation. You’ll have the option to undertake an industry placement as part of your second-year studies, logging hours in a professional studio with one of our industry partners and creating work for a range of professional clients. Our in-house creative agency provides students with the chance to pitch for paid work with commercial clients – past Solent Creative clients include Bear Grylls, Southampton Airport and Southampton City Council.
