This is a **four year degree** taught at our Hope Park campus. The Foundation Year aims to develop your skills so that after a year, you will be equipped with the necessary skills needed for studying the full BA Hons degree programme. **Accounting & Finance** In the rapidly changing business world, the demand for finance professionals has never been greater. This challenging and stimulating Accounting and Finance degree will equip you with a strong strategic outlook, ensuring that, once you graduate, you will be ready to inform and advise management decision-making at the highest level. The variety of topics studied on this degree will give you a sound grounding in theoretical and practical areas of Accounting and Finance. Senior Professional Tutors, with practical experience in the professional services sector and who are experts in their field, work alongside well respected academic staff to ensure that, when you graduate, you will have the skills and knowledge needed for a successful career in a number of competitive areas, including accountancy, general management, banking, and finance. We believe your ability to gain meaningful employment after you graduate is really important, so there is a strong focus on helping you to develop your employability skills. Throughout your degree, there will be a number of opportunities and initiatives to engage and network with local, national and international businesses, giving you the chance to raise your profile and make connections in the business before you have even graduated. **Nutrition** Nutrition is an increasingly important discipline with a focus on understanding how diet helps maintain health and prevent disease. Nutritionists have a key role to play in a wide range of professional roles providing and implementing evidence-based nutritional guidelines, public health nutrition strategies, and developing the safe, healthy and sustainable foods of the future . Our Nutrition degree is focussed on developing the practical, professional and research skills needed to develop a successful career as a professional nutritionist (as well as for further study or professional careers in dietetics, public health or the commercial food industry). The curriculum includes a focus on the delivery of five core competencies: nutritional science; food chain; social and behavioural sciences; health and wellbeing; and professional conduct. You will be taught in our new Health Sciences building, which features specialist laboratories and equipment dedicated to the study of food, nutrition and health. You will learn from a highly committed team of research-active registered nutritionists with a range of practical experience, who are enthusiastic about both the academic subject and the quality of your student experience.
