Progression Summary

​The BA (Hons) Accounting degree course at Cardiff Met is professionally accredited by the by the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants, Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. As such, students may obtain the maximum number of exemptions from these bodies’ professional examinations. The course will provide you with a comprehensive introduction to all areas of accounting and prepares you for further study at the final stages of professional accounting qualifications. We have a strategic partnership with Graham Paul Chartered Accountants, which provides for paid student placements with a view to graduate training contracts. We offer this degree with two study options. You can choose three years full-time or four years full-time which would include a one-year industry placement between years two and three that will give you hands-on experience in a real-life working environment. This year in industry gives you practical skills that many employers seek, giving you a competitive edge upon graduation.
