Develop your passion for designing innovative and contemporary crafts using a diverse range of materials. Our 3D Designer Maker (Craft) degree will give you the chance to explore ideas through a broad range of taught craft practice and design processes. If you have a passion for making contemporary products, it could be the course for you. This course provides an exciting interface between craft, design and art. You'll get to explore ideas through a range of taught craft practice and design processes. There's a strong emphasis on experimentation with materials and contemporary approaches to making innovative objects. And you'll get to experience both studio making and industrial processes. Our creative team of professional makers and technicians will support you throughout. You'll gain practical knowledge and a repertoire of skills, developing your understanding of the designer's essential toolkit as well as contemporary techniques and processes. Workshops cover - Fine Metal - Wood - Plastics and Resin - Ceramics - Technical Hub-CAD and Laser Cutting - Digital Imaging Skills (to work software packages such as Photoshop, Illustrator and 3D software) Our 3D Designer Maker degree offers three routes – Ceramics, Craft and Jewellery and Fashion Accessories. On successful completion of study, we will issue the following award: BA (Hons) 3D Designer Maker (Craft)
