This course recognises the significant demand for those individuals skilled in the creation of interactive and appealing applications. This course gives you the opportunity to further explore the latest technologies used in the computer gaming industry. During the course you will increase your knowledge of games design, character and asset design, development platforms and animation through practical based assessments which are developed in conjunction with local companies and industry partners. This will give you a real insight into what it is like to work within the games industry. Throughout the course you will be encouraged to undertake work placements and manage live projects from industry, giving you valuable work experience to help you secure employment upon graduation. Graduate employment opportunities exist in a wide range of games companies in the UK and overseas, varying from small start-ups to triple-A studios. Graduates have also been employed by many non-games companies who are looking for creative problem-solvers and software engineers. On completion of your course you may also wish to progress onto an appropriate Masters degree.
