You can also learn what happened during the conquests of Alexander the Great and at the end of the Roman Empire. You’ll have the chance to engage with topics you are already passionate about, or to try something entirely new. This might mean application of cutting-edge technology to discover and map new sites, or develop complimentary archival research skills. You'll gain at least 3 weeks of practical experience of field work, including excavating archaeological sites and collecting archaeological material from ploughed fields. Studying abroad for a year will enable you to explore another culture. You'll spend your third year at a partner university in Europe, the United States, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea or Australia.
