Most universities offer just one semester in the US but our students go for a year to fully immerse themselves in American culture. Hull has been pioneering the teaching of American Studies in the UK for more than 50 years, and our diverse range of modules allow you to tailor the degree to suit your own interests and career aspirations. You can specialise in history, literature or culture, if you choose, but are encouraged to embrace the rich diversity of American studies. The Foundation Year is ideal if you do not have the academic qualifications for direct entry on to the degree. It has been designed to prepare you for entry on to the first year of the course.
