Progression Summary

This English with Film Studies BA gives you the chance to study literary texts and films from across the world and with a broad historical perspective. You could study English literature written in the US, Anglophone Africa, Ireland, and South Asia, as well as within the UK, looking at texts that date as far back as 1380 to the present day. You’ll also explore film studies with modules that cover popular Hollywood, European, and Asian films, underground and cult cinemas, documentary and new media, and film and media philosophy, amongst much more. Your location in the heart of London means you can also explore the capital’s literary and visual history while making the most of your proximity to organisations like the British Film Institute (BFI) and Shakespeare’s Globe.
