Progression Summary

Accounting & Finance at King’s College London covers foundations of general management as well as accounting and finance in the first year while offering more specialist content throughout the rest of the degree. The accounting and finance focus becomes more pronounced in the second and third years of the course, where a number of more advanced modules in financial reporting, management accounting, asset management, auditing and taxation will be offered. There are two things that are unique about studying accounting and finance at King’s: one is the strong grounding in a broad, social science-based approach to learning; the other is a keen emphasis on the way in which financial careers are being reshaped by technological innovation. This dual focus on social science and technological innovation translates into a concern to cultivate accounting and finance graduates that are socially rounded and technologically adept. Additionally, with strong links to the business world surrounding our campus in the heart of London, our students have excellent networking opportunities and a wealth of finance, business and economic societies to engage with and enhance their studies.
