Our courses have been designed to enhance your knowledge and skills in current complex issues in mental health, and include: - Critical Decision Making in Mental Health Practice - The Role of the Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) - Applied Psychiatry - Applied Mental Health Law - Best Interest Assessor The focus of the units is on mental health, with emphasis on the integration of mental health issues, psychiatry and mental health law in multi-disciplinary teams from a social perspective. The lecturers will reflect this multi-disciplinary approach and will include psychiatrists, lawyers, psychologists, nurses and social workers, as well as service users and carers. You will also learn how to translate research insights into practice.
