Progression Summary
This course involves the study of two languages, a specialist pathway and, in the third year, a 24 week work placement. The course includes: the continuation of either English as a Foreign Language, French or Spanish post A-level or equivalent the take up of a second language from beginners (French, Spanish, Japanese, or Mandarin) or post A-level (French or Spanish) the engagement from Year 1 in an area of specialism: Business, International Relations, Education, Film Studies or History of Art. The course develops a high level of written and verbal skills in one main foreign language with a particular emphasis on the practical use of the language in an international context, and practical written and oral proficiency in a second foreign language.
