Progression Summary
this course involves the study of two languages, a specialist pathway and, in the third year, a 24 week work placement. the course includes: the continuation of either english as a foreign language, french or spanish post a-level or equivalent the take up of a second language from beginners (french, spanish, japanese, or mandarin) or post a-level (french or spanish) the engagement from year 1 in an area of specialism: business, international relations, education, film studies or history of art. the course develops a high level of written and verbal skills in one main foreign language with a particular emphasis on the practical use of the language in an international context, and practical written and oral proficiency in a second foreign language.
