**Computing is changing our world, the way we work and the way we live. To study computer science is to put yourself at the forefront of both technological and social change.** This course examines the principles and technologies underpinning the systems that are driving this change. It provides an opportunity to learn about these directly through a combination of classroom theory and practical activities. Within this context, this degree has two main aims. The first is to provide you with a good understanding of the theory, principles and technologies of computer science. The second is to equip you with the skills to apply this knowledge and theory to a range of practical challenges.
