The material covered on this course ranges from history, literature and politics, to visual arts and popular culture; you will study core modules in first year to give you a basis from which to tailor your studies to your areas of interest as the course progresses. You will have access to world-class levels of research and teaching, and Nottingham is one of few UK universities to offer a named minor option in Canadian studies alongside American studies. The study abroad element of this course, comprising of your third year spent at a North American institution, will allow you to deepen your cultural awareness and gain real-life experience and an international perspective.
