Progression Summary

The Foundation Degree in Adventure Sports combines practical outdoor activities with academic theory to allow you to develop the skills and experience needed for a career in adventure sports. You will participate in practical sessions in a number of outdoor adventure activities including canoeing, kayaking, mountain biking, climbing, sailing and mountain walking. These are supported by academic sessions in a range of subjects such as leadership and business skills, to help develop your knowledge and understanding of the adventure sports industry. The opportunity to participate in off-site visits and residential field trips, and pursue additional coaching qualifications in mountain leadership, climbing, paddlesports and sailing will greatly enhance your career choices and offer you progression in your chosen field.
