**Course Overview** - This ‘bridging course’ gives you the perfect opportunity to strengthen your academic credentials in preparation for a career in Clinical Psychology. It has been designed to develop your knowledge, understanding and skills in core theoretical, methodological, and empirical areas of Clinical Psychology. - You’ll develop the knowledge, skills and experience needed for progression to the Doctor of Clinical Psychology (DClinPsych) courses which you’ll need to undertake if you aspire to take on a leading role in Clinical Psychology in the NHS, private practice or other related fields. **Why study with us** - The course content strongly emphasises the importance of evidence-based working, with a focus on advancing your research skills and competencies. - You will be taught by academics and research experts in their field. - You’ll undertake a work experience placement to enhance your professional and personal development. **Further Information** - There is currently no professional accreditation for Clinical Psychology at master’s degree level. - However, this course has been informed by the undergraduate accreditation of our Clinical Psychology Courses (Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership of the British Psychological Society) and the taught Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (DClin Psych). It is designed to enable you to progress between these two important levels of training, eventually leading to a career as a professional in psychology.
