A pathway to study Computer Science

This pathway will prepare you for an undergraduate degree at the Department of Computer & Information Sciences at the University of Strathclyde.

When you successfully complete this programme, you can progress to the third year of a four-year BSc degree, or a five-year MEng degree at the University of Strathclyde.

You can start your studies with a UKVI- approved Secure English Language Test (SELT), provided you have met all the programme entry requirements.

The test results must have been achieved in the past 24 months and meet the minimum English equivalency score for your chosen programme.

You will need to obtain a SELT with the required minimum score to make a Student Visa application in order to come to campus.

6 weeks:
5.0 overall (5.0 in writing, minimum 4.5 in all other skills)

10 weeks:

4.5 overall (4.5 in writing, minimum 4.0 in all other skills)

English language exit requirementsYou will be assessed internally at the end of your English programme and will be required to meet the equivalent grade of  IELTS 5.5 overall (minimum 5.0 in writing and 4.0 in other areas)
