Foundation Business Management + Social Sciences
Program Summary
Studying social sciences will help you to understand human behaviour and what makes people behave the way they do. When coupled with business management, you’ll learn how to explore human behaviour in a business environment or how human behaviour impacts the performance of a business. Your Business Management module will also teach you about finance, marketing and human resource management. You’ll consider topics such as the importance of entrepreneurship or the role of corporate social responsibility, learn how to apply business concepts to real-world case studies and discover how to analyse a business’s performance. At the same time, your Social Sciences module will look at how we interact with one another in society across different settings and social contexts, such as in public and private, among family and friends, and while doing paid and unpaid work. Both modules will strengthen your critical thinking, analytical, presentation and collaboration skills and equip you with knowledge that is useful for a range of roles in business administration or management, travel and tourism, advertising and media, and beyond. When you study business management and social sciences, you’ll be eligible to apply for degrees in Business Management as well as Digital Media and Culture, European Politics, Geography, International Relations and more. You will study a total of four modules and you will be allocated either one of English for Academic Purposes or Academic Expression & Critical Thinking plus the Society module.
